Directions & Parking
The Portland Classical Chinese Garden is located at the corner of Northwest Third & Everett in Portland’s historic Old Town Chinatown neighborhood. We are centrally located and easily accessible from all parts of the city by car and public transit and by foot for those living, working, or visiting the central city.
Visiting by car
The Garden can be reached by car from I-405 by taking the Everett Street Exit and turning east. Travel approximately 10 blocks and we are located on the corner of Northwest Third & Everett.
On-street metered parking is widely available around the Garden at $1.25 per hour Monday through Saturday. On Sunday and holidays, on-street parking is free. A variety of private and city parking lots are also located within a few minutes walk of the Garden. One of the nearest is Smart Park, located on the corner of Northwest First & Davis.
Visiting by public transit
The Garden is easily accessible by buses and by MAX, Portland’s light rail train service. The Garden is located within Fareless Square, and is free from many hotels and locations within the central city.
The Garden is located at the Old Town Chinatown stop on MAX and accessible by buses 1, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16, 33, 40, and 77. To reach the Garden from locations throughout the city, visit TriMet’s Trip Planner, which can provide door to door directions using public transit.
Visiting by foot
The Garden is located centrally and within easy walking distance of many landmarks in Portland. The Garden is ½ mile northeast of Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square, ¼ mile southeast of Amtrak’s Union Station, and near many major hotels.
