Touring the Garden

Learn what makes a Ming Dynasty scholar’s garden truly special. Docent led tours are available everyday at noon and 1:00 p.m. Upon entering, the Garden Host can also provided you with a self guided visitor booklet, a copy of the latest “What’s Blooming?” guide or a family guide for children.

Living in the heart of Portland, the Garden is centrally located to all who want to visit. Whether you are visiting by car, on foot, or using public transportation, the Garden is easily accessible no matter your choice of transportation.

No visit to the Garden is complete without a visit to the Teahouse. Sample a pairing of tea and traditional snacks specially chosen for the Garden as you take time to simply sit and enjoy the views enfolding before you.

The Lan Su Chinese Garden is accessible for all guests.  For those visitors who utilize a wheelchair or simply need a route through the Garden without steps, a map of the ADA accessible route is available.  The map is also available from the Ticket Booth, Gift Store, or Greeter on your next visit.
